Nature and It's Wonders

I've always loved the great outdoors and figuring out how the Earth works. This love made me think about becoming an earth and space science teacher when I was younger. I've also been interested in mapping and even had a college internship with Google Maps. There, I helped update the map of Wallops Island, VA. This experience showed me how technology can help us better understand our planet.

I also worked with the Broadhead Watershed Association in north east Pennsylvania. We tested water quality in local streams and rivers and examined how flooding could happen. This helped local people understand their environment better. But it's not just about the land and water for me. I also have a large-diameter telescope, and I love looking up at the stars at night. Maybe one day I'll get in to astrophotography...

When I'm not working or staring up at the stars, you'll find me hiking, camping, or traveling. These activities connect me to nature and make me want to learn even more. It's a mix of learning, doing, and teaching that keeps me excited about earth science.

Oh, and ask me how much I love roller coasters and theme parks.
