A UX leader from Baltimore, MD with a masters degree in UX design and a passion for all things digital, physical, and spatial. My blend of design, strategy, and development expertise seamlessly connects the dots, driving successful product evolution.
Design with Empathy. At the core of every product is its user. I prioritize a human-centered design approach, ensuring every touchpoint is tailored to real needs, forging connections and simplifying complexities.
Strategic Vision. Through a deep understanding of both user behavior and business goals, I craft strategic roadmaps. By aligning user experience with overarching objectives, I guarantee products that don't just work but thrive.
Communicate to all. Successful products are built on collaboration. My experience spans design to development, allowing me to serve as a bridge between teams. This synergy ensures cohesive products and smoother development cycles.
I started my career with a degree in Earth & Space Science, specializing in GIS. This background not only honed my analytical and development skills but also ignited my interest in merging digital design with the physical world. Over time, I've worked at the intersection of marketing, design, and development, always aiming to improve the user experience by grounding it in the context of the real-world. Real people.
At Vanguard, I'm the Lead Product (UX) Strategist for our public tools and calculators. My role involves guiding these tools' design and direction, ensuring they're user-friendly and in line with our brand. I also focus on research to ensure our tools meet user needs, managing and implementing designs that align with the always evolving style guides, and I work on resolving any technical issues to keep them running smoothly. I aim to ensure Vanguard's digital tools are top-notch and easy for our users to navigate.
This year I wanted to dive deeper into my GIS skills, which is why I've begun volunteering as a GIS analyst for the Anne Arundel County Watershed Association. When I'm not at work, I love to create board games and enjoy the rhythms of playing music.
